Research and Development
Alpha Global iT recognizes that the continuous expansion of medical knowledge places increased pressure on physicians to remain up-to-date on advancements outside their practice area. At Alpha Global iT, we have embraced this challenge by developing Artificial Intelligent (AI) IT solutions that will assist physicians with their day-to-day practice. Our novel solutions include clinical decision support systems and software tools for the optimization of healthcare resources.

Click to enlargeAlpha Global designs and builds AI solutions for medical decision support (patented technology). This line of research implements evidence-based medicine in physicians’ practice. The outcome of this research is a software tool which is available as an independent healthcare IT solution or as an additional module that will simply plug into Globe Med and integrate with the EMR module to offer an expert knowledge resource.
Another direction of Alpha’s AI research is optimization of healthcare resource usage and minimization of medical procedure wait times to improve patient flow. Future research in this front aims to introduce mathematical models for predicting the needs for healthcare systems and dynamic scheduling software tools (patented technology) to allocate resources based on varying needs in real time.
Alpha’s medical research includes Serious extended-spectrum (ESBL) and/or AmpC type ß-lactamases, resistance of Group B Streptococcus (Streptococcus agalactiae, GBS). Working with a group of recognized medical experts and professors from the University of Toronto, Alpha is positioned to provide expertise in the development and evaluation of new technologies and novel methods in laboratory medicine for the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of disease.
